Tangleroot author Kalela Williams offers virtual or in-person readings; or leads fun, interactive creative writing workshops. Themes in Tangleroot include: the history and legacy of slavery; erased or destroyed Black communities; women’s history, including women’s diaries and letters; burial grounds and cemeteries, and 19th century fashion.
